Abraaj expands health diagnostics in Pakistan

The big emerging-markets investor is targeting health services for the growing middle class. Its latest find: Islamabad Diagnostics Centre’s network of low-cost diagnostic centers. Abraaj plans to expand IDC’s network from 20 to 50 in the next five years. Public health tests in Pakistan are underfunded; private services are expensive or inaccessible. Abraaj did not disclose the amount of its investment, its 30th healthcare investment.
